Auckland (New Zealand) — The Sikh-Muslim Friendship and Interfaith Harmony Conference, organized by the Sikh Council of New Zealand, was held on July 26, 2025, in Auckland.
The conference brought together leaders and representatives from different faiths who shared their views on promoting interfaith harmony. Sohail Ahmad Raza, Director of Interfaith Relations at Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Member of the Evacuee Trust Property Board, Government of Pakistan, participated in the event. In his address, he highlighted the importance of peacebuilding, religious tolerance, and interfaith dialogue.
Also present on the occasion was Giani Sardar Ranjit Singh, Head Granthi of Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Lahore, and a prominent leader of the Sikh community in Pakistan. He shared his views on the protection of minority rights and the promotion of religious harmony in Pakistan.
Participants of the conference emphasized that fostering peace, love, tolerance, and mutual understanding among religions is a vital need of the present time.
