Sohail Ahmed Raza, Director of Interfaith Relations Minhaj University Lahore and Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Member ETPB Government of Pakistan has been appointed head of the Shrines Committee, a sub-department of the Evacuee Trust Properties Board (ETPB) Ministry of Religious Aaffairs and Interfaith Harmony Government of Pakistan.

The decision was made at the 351st meeting of the ETPB Board of Directors, where the board members, including ETPB Chairman, appreciated the services of Sohail Ahmed Raza and assigned him this responsibility.

Sohail Ahmed Raza is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Government of Pakistan.

The Shrines Committee is responsible for the decoration, renovation, preservation and maintenance of the worship places of religious minorities in Pakistan, including churches, synagogues, temples and gurudwaras.

The committee includes Sohail Ahmed Raza, Chairman of Pakistan Hindu Mandir Management Committee Shri Krishan Sharma, Senior Member of Pakistan Hindu Council Dr. Hari Lal Bhagia, Senior Member of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Bhagat Singh, Sardar Karpa Singh from Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib, Senior Member of Pakistan Sikh Community Sardar Partap Singh and Sajjada Nashin of Pir of Manki Nowshera ,Sahibzada Tayyab Amin Advocate.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, congratulated Sohail Ahmed Raza on his success and expressed the hope that Sohail Raza will continue to play an active role and bring good name to Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
