In the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, an iftar dinner was organized at the Gurudwara Jebel Ali, with the aim of promoting Sikh-Muslim friendship, interfaith harmony, and appreciating the efforts of the Dubai government for global peace. The iftar dinner was attended by Mr. Syed Muddasar Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, who represented the Interfaith Relations Department of Minhaj-ul-Quran International as its Deputy Director.
Leaders from both local and international Muslim communities also participated in the event. Senior officials of the Dubai government commended the initiative taken by the Gurudwara.
On this occasion, Sanjay Sudhir, the Ambassador of India to the United Arab Emirates, expressed that for surety of peace and tranquility in the region, it is imperative for us to accept each other's religious beliefs, theories, and sentiments, and to stand as each other's support so that amidst this world of extremism and division, we can become a source of peace for each other.
The Chairman of the Gurudwara expressed gratitude to the guests and pledged to continue their services in the future. Special arrangements were made for the performance of Maghrib prayers after iftar at the Gurudwara premises.
